Visual novel means reading plus player-controlled branches
A visual novel presents illustrated scenes, written dialogue, sound, and choices as the main form of play. The False Sun uses a first-person perspective, so the player experiences the memory gaps and relationship pressure from inside the protagonist’s viewpoint.
It is still a game rather than a passive ebook. The official page lists several mini-games, interactive scenes, a memory gallery, an ending gallery, and choices that determine the ending.
- Primary activity: read and choose responses.
- Perspective: first person.
- Interaction: dialogue, mini-games, and timed or navigational scenes.
- Replay structure: memories and 20 possible endings.
